TITANIUM
Titanium is as strong as steel and has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal.It is valued for its lightweight, durable, hypo-allergenic and non-corrosive properties. MAYBACH Eyewear uses pure titanium with an exclusive precious metal plating of 24 karat gold, platinum or ruthenium.
When combined with horn, wood or leather, high-tech and nature form an exclusive partnership.
Beta Titanium is the flexible, softer form of titanium used in bridges of optical frames.
SOLID 18K GOLD
Solid 18K (750) gold offers the pinnacle of luxury.As the most coveted precious metal, gold has always fascinated mankind as a symbol of constancy and wealth.
JEWELS
The diamonds which MAYBACH EYEWEAR uses are of the highest quality available.
They have a VVS1 or even IF clarity and D-E-F colour.
GENUINE HORN
The water buffalo in Asia is a domesticated animal and is not under protection as an endangered species.
The water buffalo is extremely important in the areas of cultivation in the rice plantations of Asia.Milk and leather is also supplied from these animals.
The horns are a by-product used for exclusive natural articles.
The horns of a water buffalo reach up to one metre in length, but only a small part of them can actually be used as a raw material for creating eyewear.
Due to its characteristic harmonious and interesting colours, each horn is always a unique piece.
The MAYBACH EYEWEAR natural horn frames are created by experienced specialists without recourse to industrial production processes.The frames are made using innovative bonding technology.This is a high-quality, time-consuming production method for natural horn frames.It gives the frames a high level of stability, making them robust and ensuring that they retain their form.Each MAYBACH natural horn part is made, depending on the model, from up to seven thin horn layers whose centre consists of plates with fibres lying in alternating directions. The desired combination of colours is inseparably bonded together.

EXOTIC WOOD, CARBON FIBRE
AND PIANO LACQUER
Up to seven ultra-fine layers with unique colours and structures are bonded together and can also be combined with carbon fibres.
Only the finest and most elegant woods are selected, and finally glow under 8 coats of piano varnish.
WOOD IS NOT BENDABLE AND CAN NOT BE ADJUSTED!

AMBOYNA BURR
Amboyna is a luxurious burr from the tree that is commonly known as Narra.A rare, exotic hardwood that grows in Southeast Asia, it can vary in colour from yellow to golden brown to red.
Amboyna burr is one of the rarest and most expensive woods in the world.
This material is also used in the interior of MAYBACH automobiles.
MACASSAR EBONY
This dark exotic wood is the rarest and most expensive ebony available.A rare, exotic hardwood that grows in Southeast Asia, its colour is a pattern of real blacks and dark chocolate browns.
This wood is used in manufacturing expensive humidors, jewellery and high-end furniture.
BIRD'S EYE MAPLE
Bird‘s Eye Maple wood has a wavy grain with eyelike markings.
Bird‘s Eye Maple veneer is very delicate and glossy and is used in high-quality residential furniture and for the interior panelling of luxury limousines.
This material is also used in the interior of MAYBACH automobiles.
WALNUT BURR ANTHRACITE
American walnut burr is a high quality burr wood which is used for dashboards on luxury automobiles as well as on exclusive furniture.The rich, dark brown, burr pattern is very much appreciated on luxury accessories.
CARBON FIBRE
Graphite fibre is a material consisting of fibres about 5–10 μm in diameter and composed mostly of carbon atoms.
The carbon atoms are bonded together in crystals that are aligned more or less parallel to the long axis of the fibre. The crystal alignment gives the fibre a high strength-to-volume ratio (making it strong for its size).
Several thousand carbon fibres are bundled together to form a tow, which may be used by itself or woven into a fabric.
PIANO LACQUER
Working with piano lacquer is an ancient, traditional craft.
Comprising up to seven layers, first a premium coloured lacquer and then several transparent lacquer coats are applied to exclusive woods.Each layer is hand-finished with the finest sandpaper, creating an exceptional visual effect.
ACETATE
Acetate is based on natural cotton fibre, treated to create a homogeneous sheet of plastic. We use Italian Acetate - the finest in the world - in making our handmade acetate styles.
Stable and lightweight, acetate is the most common material used in plastic frames.
Our acetate components are tumble polished for 72 hours to attain maximum lustre, enhancing the beautiful colour combinations.The frames are then assembled, hand polished, and adjusted by hand.
LEATHER
The feeling of soft nappa leather on the skin is without comparison.This high-quality natural material develops an elegant patina over time, making these accessories unique.It is known for its softness and durability.
It is also used in high-quality leather products such as MAYBACH Accessories, Leather Goods and Saddlery.
This material is also used in the interior of MAYBACH automobiles.
